DTCP appoints cloud infrastructure specialist Jean-Francois Berche and data center expert Oliver Menzel as Senior Advisors

Hamburg,Germany / London, United Kingdom, 3 June 2024 – DTCP, an independent investment management firm focussing on digital transformation with 2.8 billion euros in assets under management and over 50 professionals, today announced the appointment of Oliver Menzel and Jean-Francois Berche to its bench of senior advisors.

 

Jean-François Berche joins DCTP with more than two decades of experience working for two of the largest global cloud service providers. Most recently Jean-François held the role of Senior Director in Global Infrastructure M&A at Microsoft, responsible for the larger strategic deals underpinning the growth of the Azure Cloud aswell as more recently the capacity required to support AI deployment globally.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Jean-François was a  key leader within the AWS global expansion team, responsible for strategic development and deployment of all Cloud Services infrastructure, including the primary Availability Zones, Local Zones, Outpost and wavelength during his almost decade-long tenure.

 

Oliver Menzel serves as the co-founder and CEO of maincubes, Germany’s premier data center operator focusing on both multi-tenant and single-tenant secure data centers. As the largest supplier of data center capacity to the German Federal Government, maincubes offers highly secure fully-managed operations at prime locations including Frankfurt, Berlin and Amsterdam, with sights set firmly on a larger expansion strategy. Oliver, who studied aerospace engineering, is a veteran in the data center industry with more than 20 years of operating experience. In 2001, he built up an IT Service Provider hosting within smaller colocation sites, before deciding to focus more on the actual data center facilities resulting in the creation maincubes in 2012.
